Marriage, Motherhood, and Money... How well are you managing the three? If you've been here for any length of time, you know that "balance" is something I don't believe in. I do however, believe in being centered. For the first 4 years of my business, I was chasing balance and found myself overwhelmed with trying to keep all three, marriage, motherhood, and money perfectly in line at the same time only to have it all come crashing down on me. Then I would find a new system and start all over and that cycle just repeated itself, for 4 years.

Before we go any further, If you're new here, l'm Tonya Johnson. I've been working full time from social media since 2016 while juggling all things marriage and motherhood. This channel is for all the moms out their wearing all the hats and truly living that #bossmom life.

Ok, so if balance isn't a thing, then what hope do we have? We can all achieve centerdness. Being centered means you're living your life with your purpose in mind. Every day may not be perfectly balanced, but by keeping my purpose in sight, I'm insuring that my daily activity will be aligned with my end goal. Inevitably, some days are going to be heavier on the work side or homeschool side or wife side, so what I focus on is having an overall balance, or centeredness, on a monthly basis.

Make sure you're watching the video that goes with this because I'm going to walk you through exactly how to use this sheet, which by the way, is included as part of this week's freebie. I created 12, fun, themed, monthly assessment sheets that I'm giving you completely free, so you too can center your life around the purpose God has given you.

Bonus: FREEBIE

Step 1

Write down all of the hats you wear on the middle column. Some of mine are wife, mom, teacher, homeschool teacher, friend, ministry leader, and business owner.

Step 2

On the left hand column, rate yourself for the last 30 days. 1 being I sucked in that area and 10 being I nailed it. Be honest with yourself.

Step 3

On the right hand side, write one thing you could do to improve in each area in the next 30 days. Make this a small change, nothing drastic.

Step 4

In the top right hand corner, write down a few things you did really well. Celebrate your small wins.

Step 5

In the top left hand corner, right down the three areas you are going to focus on the most in the next 30 days. These are going to be the three areas that on your "bad" days, you'll still prioritize.

This is something that I do monthly just to make sure that I'm keeping centered. It doesn't mean each day will include the same activities or will be perfectly balanced, but it does ensure that monthly l'll be relatively centered and not giving all of my energy to any one part of my identity.

Ok, so 3 action steps to write down and do immediately.

1. Download freebie pack
2. Give yourself an assessment
3. Tag us @thebossmomco or @helpingheartshomeschool and let us know what one are you're prioritizing the most for the next 30 days. What l'm going to do is put everyone that tags us between now and Monday into a drawing for a $25 gift card. The winner will be announced in my stories on Monday morning, so you won't want to miss it!

Until next time, this is Tonya Johnson signing off with The Bossmom Co where we help you manage all things marriage, motherhood, and money. See you next week.
