BossKids Activity Pack

One thing we used this chart for when our daughter was just learning how to read was her Daily Bible Reading Habit. She loved getting to color the box in each day, and I loved that her character was forming in a way that she enjoyed. 

An optional page we include for you is an allowance tracker. The way we work allowance in our home is our daughter gets paid a certain amount per chore, so each day she uses this sheet to add up her numbers from the day before and then add it to her running total. She gets in the math practice and I don't have to hear Mom, how much money do I have?" each morning. 

After meeting so many (too many) adults that "hate reading", I'm more convicted than ever that we need to be teaching the next generation to love reading. A wealth of knowledge sits on shelves because our generation would rather scroll social media than better ourselves by flipping a page. Let's not raise our kids with the same mindset. 

Character training wouldn't be complete without teaching our kids to pay attention during church. Having said that, no one said it had to be boring! 

Let your kids have fun while learning to absorb God's word. Page one has a few coloring areas to keep your munchkin entertained during announcements and then some thought prompting questions for them to fill out about the sermon and page two is a fun game that goes right along with the message. This month's game is Bingo. Bingo forces them to pay attention to the preacher's words in hopes of marking off that coveted 5 in a row. There are there levels of bingo included, so all age groups can enjoy; (I've even had adults ask for copies)! Be sure to have a special treat when your child hits Bingo! 

We as humans tend to focus on the negative by nature, kids do so even more frequently. Gratitude journaling and mood tracking are both a great way to help children stay grounded and focus on the positives of their day to day lives. Watch this tutorial for more on journaling.
