Y’all!! We are slightly obsessed with this company. Genius Cat Books is a small business that sells children’s books. We actually partnered with them for the first time back in early 2021 and here we are almost 2 years later still LOVING all of their products. I want to share with y'all a few kinds of books they have and which ones my daughter (8yr old/3rd grade) like the most!

Picture Books

These are not true picture books in the respect that they do have a great story line, but I call them picture books because they have FANTASTIC illustrations! The "POP" book was the first one we read from Genius Cat Books and my daughter fell in love. As you can see, we used it as the base for our themed school day and had a super fun popcorn school day.

Above is the picture of the inside. As you can see, there's still a story, but pictures tell as much of the story as the words do. If you have a reluctant reader or a visual learner, these type of books are perfect to engage them in the story.

Character Building Books

It's worth noting here that ALL of the Genius Cat Books have an element of character building or a lesson so to speak within them. This is actually the main thing that has kept me coming back to their company for books for our homeschool. The "School of Greatness" series; however, are books SPECIFICALLY dedicated to teaching character traits. Each one focuses on a single trait and tells a story in a way that really drives that trait home. These books still have fantastic pictures to keep younger readers engaged, but the concepts are great for older kids as well. This series would be a great one to add to your family library if you have both older and younger kids in the home simultaneously.

Graphic Novels

I don't know that graphic novel is the correct term for this, but I do know that my daughter read it cover to cover in less than 24 hours (this is a child that dislikes reading... we're working on it) and is impatiently waiting for the next book in the series to be released. Run, don't want to get this one if you want you kid to enjoy reading while getting a positive message at the same time.

This book is perfect for independent readers and is set in a comic book style format with over 100 pages. It even has vocabulary words and definitions spread throughout the story. As I said above, Glori loves it, but I equally love it because it's incredibly educational.

We highly recommend adding Genius Cat Books to your home library. Each shipment that comes will leave your child feeling like it's Christmas morning and you'll have the peace of mind knowing that what they're reading reinforces the values you're already teaching in your home. When you try out their book, we'd love to hear what you think about them!
